Watada san is an honorable man contrary to most who have sworn a solemn oath. These others, like the Bushwhacker, Chenny, LHN, have all violated their oaths and fiduciary duty.

Since Iraq was not a belligerent, attacked the U.S. or any other nation, the aggressive war against Iraq was unlawful and illegal. Aggressive warfare is against public int'l law and U.S. domestic law. Watada san and all servicemen has the duty to disobey an unlawful order even it means death to refusing combatant. This is part of the Nuremberg Doctrine, which is U.S. law in full force and effect.

9/11 was a criminal act and dictates a full, proper, apolitical, unbiased criminal investigation. Where was it?

Therefore, Watada san had a duty to refuse the unlawful order for aggressive warfare. That also includes unlawful occupation. Any one aiding and abettting aggressive warfare is guilty of war crimes as if he perpertrated them himself.

9/11 was an inside job - anyone with any common sense and have really objectively thought over the official story line cannot reach anyother conclusion.

His order was to invade a country which never threatened the US. Therefore, it was an illegal order, since international law prohibits precisely this sort of attack.

Watada did the right thing. George Bush still awaits prosecution for his crime.

Juniper,
I respectfully disagree.

I have the highest respect for Lt. Watada who stood his ground, with dignity, courageousness, and honor.

The definition of dishonor: See former President Bush and VP Cheney

Mr. Watada can get on with his life now but he and everyone who knows him and about him will remember that he refused to obey a legal order given to him. It is not up to the individual soldier to decide whether a war is legal or not and this war was legal whether he belives it was or not.

The photo shown in this article is of a 1st Lt in the US Army, Watada is not an officer any longer due to him resigning his commission. He is a former officer who refused to obey a legal order and a man without honor.
