Funeral service for the late Jimmy Noriki Uesugi, 88-year-old Issei
resident of Los Angeles, who peacefully passed away on Aug. 19 at
Keiro Nursing Home, were held on Saturday, Aug. 28 at Fukui Mortuary
Chapel with Rimban Hiroshi Abiko from Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple
officiating. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Toshiko. Mr.
Uesugi is survived by nieces, Sharon and Robin, and nephew, Brian
Teraoka. In attendance were many relatives from the Sakioka family.
The eulogies were offered by Shun Naito, representing Shorinji Kempo
and by Mrs. Miwa Ueda, representing the Azuma and Yamamori families.
