A private funeral service for Chieko Terada, 93-year-old, Yamaguchi-ken, Japan-born Issei, who passed away on Oct. 31 in Gardena was held on Friday, Nov. 6 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rev. John Iwohara of Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.

She is survived by her children, Masamitsu (Tokuko) Terada of Thousand Oaks, Shizue Naka¬mura, Kayoko (Keiji) Okuno, Yoshitomo (Tomasa) Terada, and Kumiko (Robert) Takahashi; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
