Masato Munekiyo passed away peacefully at his home in Montebello on May 28 at age 96. Service will be at Rose Hills, 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, at 11 a.m. on Thursday June 2, 2011 at the Sky Rose Chapel. An avid golfer and lifelong bridge player, he is survived by his beloved wife, Helen; daughter, Jeanne; and son, Wayne. Masato earned his Judo Black Belt before the war and was a longtime member of the Gardeners Federation in Little Tokyo.
