MANHATTAN BEACH — The Center for Asian Pacific American Women (www.apawomen.org) will hold its 2013 National Leadership Summit on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 20-21, at the Manhattan Beach Marriott, 1400 Parkview Ave., Manhattan Beach.
The theme, “Purpose, Path and Power: Transforming Your Leadership,” focuses on building leadership capacity across all areas of your life. Workshops and panels cover career development skills, financial and business savvy, health, and other issues of concern to AA/PI women.

Friday, Sept. 20
7 to 8 a.m.: Registration and continental breakfast/networking
8 a.m.: Welcome
8:30 a.m.: Keynote address by Ann Shen Smith, chairman and CEO, Southern California Gas Co.
9 to 9:45 a.m.: Plenary session, “Whole Person Leadership” with Peggy Nagae, program director, The Center for APA Women, Peggy Nagae Consulting
9:45 a.m.: Break
10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Concurrent workshops
12:30 to 2 p.m.: Lunch – table discussions for various industries and on current issues
2:15 to 4:45 p.m.: Concurrent workshops
4:45 to 5 p.m.: Break
5 to 9 p.m.: Reception, marketplace, silent auction
Saturday, Sept. 21
