Traffic and parking in and around Little Tokyo will be affected by the annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon on Sunday, Oct. 27.
The 13.1-mile route will begin at L.A. Live on Figueroa Street, traveling south to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, through Exposition Park, making a loop back north to Little Tokyo and back to L.A. Live at South Flower Street and West Olympic Boulevard. The half-marathon and mini-marathon begin at 7:30 a.m.
The course includes Third Street from Flower Street to Central Avenue, and Central Avenue from Third Street to Sixth Street. These streets will be closed from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. Metro bus routes will be impacted, and the Third Street and Sixth Street offramps on the 110 Freeway will be closed.
The event will bring approximately 15,000 runners and walkers to the downtown area, along with thousands of spectators, families and friends. Drivers are encouraged to adjust travel time within and around the course.
