SAN FRANCISCO — Japantown merchants and residents are invited District 5 Supervisor London Breed as she holds office hours on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the JACL Building, 1765 Sutter St.

Breed was sworn in as supervisor in January 2013. In addition to Japantown, the neighborhoods she represents include the Fillmore/Western Addition, North of the Panhandle, Lower Haight, Haight-Ashbury, Cole Valley, Inner Sunset, Hayes Valley, and Alamo Square.
She earned her B.A. in political science from UC Davis and later earned a master’s degree in public administration from the University of San Francisco. In 2002, she became executive director of the African American Art & Culture Complex. In the public sector, Breed has served on the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency Commission and the San Francisco Fire Commission.
