MORGAN HILL — The 54th Morgan Hill Haru Matsuri, a celebration of spring, will be held Sunday, April 13, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Buddhist Community Center, 16450 Murphy Ave., Morgan Hill (across from the soccer fields).
The festival includes the 18th Northern California Taiko Expo, which features taiko groups from throughout the region. Sandoshin of Morgan Hill and San Jose Taiko are among the participating groups.
Other Haru Matsuri highlights include:
• Asian cuisine
• Ikebana by Kika Shibata
• Tai chi and martial arts demonstrations
• Historical and cultural exhibits, including Nisei veterans display
• White elephant sale and farmers’ market
