A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Senshin Buddhist Temple, 1311 W. 37th St., L.A., for Alice Kikue Yamada, 91-year-old, Madera, Calif.-born Nisei, who passed away on May 24, 2014 in Arleta. She lived in Kingsburg most of her life until she moved to Nikkei Senior Gardens 2 1/2 years ago.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Alice’s name to Nikkei Senior Gardens.

She is predeceased by her husband, Yoshito Yamada, and survived by her children, JoAnn (Neil) Komai and David (Leslie) Yamada; grandchildren, Allison Yamada, and Kayce (Tim) Behrend, and Hannah Komai; sister, Edith (Art) Mikamo; brother-in-law, Hidemi (Ellen) Yamada; sisters-in-law, Hatsuki, Yoshi, and Toni Yamada; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
