MONTEBELLO — A farewell tribute in honor of Consul General Jun Niimi, who will soon be returning to Japan, will held on Wednesday, June 18, with reception at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m., at the Quiet Cannon, 901 Via San Clemente, Montebello.
The Japan America Society of Southern California is hosting the event to show appreciation for all that Niimi has done for the community and to extend best wishes to the consul general on his new assignment.
Niimi has served as consul general in Los Angeles since October 2011 and has gotten involved with community events and organizations throughout Southern California.
