SAN FRANCISCO — A reception for State Senate candidate Warren Furutani will be held on Thursday, May 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at O3 Bistro & Lounge, 524 Van Ness Ave. in San Francisco.

Furutani is running in a June 7 special election for Senate District 35 to fill a vacancy created by State Sen. Isadore Hall (D-San Pedro), who is running for the congressional seat being vacated by Rep. Janice Hahn (D-Los Angeles), who is seeking a seat on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
“With a 25-year track record as an elected official in the State Assembly, and on the L.A. school board and the L.A. community college board, Warren Furutani will bring experience and passion to fight for the people of his district and for all Californians,” event organizers said in a statement. “Join us and help elect Warren as California’s first Japanese American state senator.”
