Fred Akira Sakuda, 85-year-old resident of Montebello, Calif., passed away on Thursday, Aug. 13. Fred received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from USC in 1955 and retired in 1993. He is survived by his wife, Eiko; children, Jeffrey, Caryn Aizawa (Mark), Edward (Linda), Kenneth (Alice); grandchildren, Emma, Andrew, Jason and Kyle; many in-laws, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park Hillside Chapel, Gate 17, in Whittier on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 11 am. The family requests flowers be omitted.
