Public viewing for Robert Sotaro Kame, 83, a Boyle Heights-born Nisei and veteran of the Korean War who passed away on Jan. 4 at the Sepulveda Veteran’s Hospital, will be held on Thurs., Jan. 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fukui Mortuary, “Chapel in the Garden,” 707 E. Temple St., L.A.
Funeral services will follow on Saturday, Jan. 16, 11 a.m. at the WLA United Methodist Church, 1913 Purdue Ave., West Los Angeles.
Robert is survived by his brothers, Don Eishiro (Pyong Cho) and Ralph Masami Kame; sister, Michiko (Pete) Furuta; sister-in-law, Kazie Kame; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
