Minoru Sakauye, a 95-year-old El Centro, California-born Kibei-Nisei and former internee of Manzanar Relocation Camp during WWII, passed away on July 19, 2016. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012, officiated by Rev. Ryuzen Hayashi of Koyasan Buddhist Temple.
Survived by his son, Toshihiko Sakauye; sister, Eiko Mori of Japan; nieces, Sayako Uyeno, Yasuko Yamada of Japan; nephew, Yoshiteru Mori of Japan; brother-in-law, Jack Yoshio Uyeno. Also survived by many other relatives, both here and in Japan.
