A private funeral service for Ray¬mond Etsuo Muraoka, 73-year-old, Torrance, Calif.-born Sansei, who passed away on July 27 in Northridge was held on Saturday, Aug. 8 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Father Richard Hoynes of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Clarae Muraoka; children, Jason (Julie) and Nicole Muraoka; 7 grandchildren; brothers, Harold (Shige), Victor (Lois) and Monroe Muraoka; brothers-in-law, Elmer Boomhower and Bill (Michaela) Smailes; sister-in-law, Bambi (Kats) Horiuchi; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
