Helen Masae (Koike) Wada, 87, beloved wife, sister, and aunt, died peacefully on Dec. 21, 2011, in Sacramento, Calif., her birthplace. Helen moved to Chicago after Amache internment and wed William Wada in 1948. They later settled in Gardena, where she was a graphic artist for Barlow. Helen was preceded in death by her husband; is survived by her brother, Hideo Koike of Las Vegas; sister, Sachiko Sawada of Sacramento; and loving nephews and nieces. Private services were held at the Sacramento Buddhist Church.
