Memorial service for the late Jim M. Ikehara, 75-year-old, California-born resident of Covina, who passed away on Jan. 19, 2011, will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 11 a.m. at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple, 505 E. Third St., L.A.
Predeceased by his son, Michael and brother, George; he is survived by his wife, Hideko; children, Jeanne (Mark) Furukawa and Ron (Mariko) Ikehara; grandchildren, Kiyomi (Kimo) Chun, Mitch (Nessa) and Ryan Furukawa, and Toru and Rui Ikehara; great-grandchild, Sammy Chun; siblings, Asako Miyagi and Eiko (Danny) Sanders; half-siblings, Reiko Ikehara and Pek Ikehara; step-sister, Taeko Harrison; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
