He is survived by his wife, Yuri Amamoto; children, Alene (Michael, O.D.) Hayashi from Fresno, Calif., Ann Hayashi, Allen (Kyu Won Lee) Amamoto from Mukilteo, Wash., and Andy (Aileen) Amamoto; grandchildren, Koby and Ty Hayashi from Fresno, Calif., Chasen and Janey Hayashi, Kelly Amamoto, Vinna Lee from Mukilteo, Wash., Alicia Amamoto; siblings, Joe (Lillie) Amamoto, Grace Yuki, Irene Iwasaka, and Elma (Mas) Takahashi; predeceased by his sister, Edna Goya; brothers-in-law, Ocean, George, and Perry (Alice) Miyake; sisters-in-law, Harue Miyake, Shizuye Okura, and Masako Miyake; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
