Born in Riverside, Calif. and a resident of Gardena, Roy Takayuki Kaneoka passed away peacefully after a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife, June; 2 daughters, Stephanie and Sandy Kaneoka (Thomas Hopkins); 4 grandchildren, Kevin and Eric Small, Sean and Grant Hopkins; sister, Amy Barnhart; and many relatives in Japan, Oregon, and Ohio. A private scattering of ashes at sea will be held.
