Born Dec. 12, 1908 died on April 23rd, 2011. After 102 years, left our world and entered into a better world at 2:15 a.m. She is survived by her daughter Jean (Jim Brown) and Alice (Arthur (Dino) Rodriguez) grandson James Brown (Yvonne)and granddaughter Emi Rodriguez. She has two great grandchildren, J.B. Brown and Emma Brown. A sister Mary is her only surviving sibling. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom and her granddaughter Kimi Rodriguez. She also enjoyed the company of many nieces and nephews and friends. She was a very hard worker (she told me to put that in )but also enjoyed attending sewing, Spanish and Japanese classes and traveled to many places in the U.S. Canada, Japan and Europe.

She was an accomplished seamstress, needle pointer, cross stitcher, crocheter and knitter.

She never failed to say good morning or hello to everyone she met on the street.

Her love and smile will surely be missed. She made a difference just by being who she was. Her inner light shone bright and will continue to shine in our lives. She touched many lives both near and far and made the world a brighter and a better place for us. We’ll all miss you mom.

Celebration of life will be on Saturday, May 14 at 11:00 at Evergreen cemetery, 204 Evergreen Ave. Los Angeles, 90033.
