A memorial service for Betty Yamamura, 89-year-old, Los Angeles-born Nisei, who passed away on March 11, 2014 in Glendale, will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary, 911 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles, with Pastor KarenFay Ramos-Young of Centenary United Methodist Church officiating.

She is predeceased by her husband, Ricardo, and son-in-law, Alex Shelehov; and survived by her daughters, June Shelehov, Teresa (Eric) Miyamoto, and Sandy (David) Shin; grandchildren, Tracy Bjerkeset, Masa Seki, Shane and Justin Miyamoto, Spencer and Trevor Shin; great-grandchildren, Jesse and Kirsten Bjerkeset, Jenaca and Danica Seki; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
