Shuichi “Fred” Yamashita, a long-time resident of Anaheim, passed away August 25, 2012 at the age of 91. Born on Maui, Fred served in the A Battery of the 522nd Field Artillery Battalion during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Yoshie; sister Katherine Hoshaw; and brother Shigeo; sons Richard and Steven; daughter Nancy; and grandchildren Mark, Eric, Chris, Jim and Natalie.
