Junko H. Yamane
August 31, 1935 – August 11, 2020
We celebrated the life of Junko H. Yamane on August 31, 2020. She passed away peacefully two weeks before her 85th birthday at her home in Winnetka. She is survived by her daughter, son, four grandchildren, sister, brother, nephew and two nieces.
Some of us knew her as Mom, some of us knew her as Bachan, but most of us knew her as Junko-san. She was our lucky charm.
Junko worked for Sumitomo Bank, which is now California Bank & Trust for over 65 years. She worshipped at St. Francis Xavier Church and she was involved with the community of Little Tokyo. Japanese Town was her home away from home.
Thank you to the Yamane, Eaton, Watanabe and Kochi family. We are very blessed to be a part of her and she will be missed. She is with her son, Hiroshi again.
