Arroyo Vista Elementary School in South Pasadena held its monthly awards ceremony last Friday, with students being recognized for excellence in academics, citizenship and diversity. Among the recipients were first-grader Raith Kawai and third-graders Yuzu Harada and Rika Kodama Sekihara.
