Misao Mitzi Okada - Rafu Shimpo

Mrs. Misao Mitzi Okada, California-born Nisei, passed away on May 4, 2019 at the age of 98. Misao was a graduate of Manual Arts High School and a student at UCLA when she and her family were interned in Amache, Colorado during WWII. Misao was a member of the Gardena Buddhist Church and was a lifelong baseball fan.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Charles N. Okada and is survived by her three children, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Private services were held at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, with Rev. John Iwohara of Gardena Buddhist Church officiating.
