Born 94 years ago in Baldwin Park, Calif., on May 29, 1915 and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 26.

Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Irene (Aiko); daughter, Dottie Snitzer; son, Allen; son-in-law, Alan Snitzer; grandsons, Brian Hirashiki, Andy and Jonny Snitzer. He is also survived by his brother, Tami; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son, Jon; sisters, Yoneko Yamashiro and Hisa Amimoto.

Long time resident of Pasadena, George provided for his family as a machinist and later ran the quality control department for nearly 25 years at Cal-Swiss Manufacturing Co. After retirement, he volunteered with the Red Cross, providing re-freshments at local disasters. George also served as treasurer for the Pasadena Nikkei Seniors. He also served as an elder and trustee of the Altadena Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service was held at the First Presbyterian Church, 2775 Lincoln Ave., Altadena, Calif. on July 11 at 11 a.m. The family requests no flowers and casual attire.
