A funeral service for Seichi Tamashiro, 89-year-old, Kauai, Hawaii-born Nisei, who passed away on Oct. 28 in Gardena will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 10:30 a.m. at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary with Rimban Hi¬roshi Abiko from Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.

He is survived by his son, Steve (Beverly) Tamashiro; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Tsuruko Miyashiro of Saugus, Calif., Seikichi Tamashiro and Shizue (Bunkichi) Matayoshi, both of Kauai, Hawaii; in-laws, Toshio (Kay) Higa of Honolulu, Hawaii, Yoshio (Lois) Higa of San Jose, Calif., Dan Sasaoka of Kauai, Hawaii, and Joan Higa; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
