James C. Uyechi, 56, passed away Dec. 10, 2009 in Palm Springs, Calif.
He was born Sept. 10, 1953 in Brawley and grew up in Westmor¬land. While attending BUHS, he was involved in track and field sports and won the John Philip Souza Award in music. After graduation, he attended Granite Computer School in Phoenix, Ariz. He was employed at Q3 Tele¬communications in Palm Springs.
James is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jasmine and Lee Wilmany; granddaughters, Thyme Freedom and Jenny; mother, Jean Uyechi; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Calvin Morisako; brother, Rick Uyechi; niece, Shannon; neph¬ew, Christopher; and many aunts and cousins.
Memorial services for James were held Jan. 2, 1 p.m. at Westmorland Community Presbyterian Church, 285 E. Third St., Westmorland, Calif. 92281.
