Funeral services for the late Hideo Kawaratani, 88-year old Nisei resident of Laguna Beach who passed away at home on Feb. 4, will be held on Friday, Feb. 12, 11 a.m. at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple,
815 E. First St., Los Angeles, 90012. A public visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden” 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles 90012. The family kindly requests that flowers be omitted. Hideo served honorably in E. Company of the 442nd Infantry Regiment in Italy during World War II.
