A private funeral service for Marie M. Toya, 91-year-old, Los Angeles, Calif.-born Nisei, resident of West LA, who passed away on Feb. 15 in Santa Monica was held on Saturday, Feb. 20 at Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.

She is survived by her son, Dennis M. (Angela) Toya; daughters, Brenda (Yoshi) Fujisawa, Janis (Sam Nitao) Toya, and Gail S. (Wayne) Morton of Maui, Hawaii; sister, Hiroko (Mamoru) Shishido; brother-in-law, George (May) Toya; sisters-in-law, Yuki Sakurai and Grace (Dr. Jack) Fujimoto; also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and relatives.
