Masami Yamachika was born Jan. 7, 1914 and passed away March 13. He
was a native of Anaheim, Calif. and lived most of his life in
Southern California. He worked in the electronics business and was
instrumental in the development of the Phonemate recording device. He
loved to fish and play golf.
He is survived by his wife, Mitsue; daughters, Yoshiko (Jim) Yahiro,
Toshiko (Deen) Matsuzawa and Yoko Yamachika; four grandchildren and
six great-grandchildren; sisters, Fumiye Asachika and Sadako Tanaka;
and sister-in-law, Ayako Yamachika.
Funeral service to be held on Monday, March 22 at 12 p.m. at Waverley
Church, Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Ave., Santa Ana, CA
92705.
