Funeral services for the late Haruo Higashi, 90-year-old Long Beach-
born resident of Hawthorne, who passed away on May 3, will be held on
Monday, May 10, 11 a.m. at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple, 505 E.
3rd St., Los Angeles.
Haruo is survived by daughter, Harue Helen (Masaharu Henry) Iwaoka;
grandchildren, John Paul Takaharu and Paula Ruth Haruko Iwaoka;
brother, Tadato Tad (Teiko) Higashi; sister in law, Shizu Higashi and
many other nephews and nieces.
