Masako Hanaoka passed away peacefully on May 5 at the age of 92. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Masaki Hanaoka in 1987. She
is survived by her son, Nori (Sue) Hanaoka; daughters, Kayomi Hori,
Kimi Fujitani, and Sanjo (Marshall) Bialosky. She was the grandmother
to Jon (Sonia) Hori, Lianne (Johnny) Lee, Joy (Nathan) Becker, Jim
Fujitani and Shara Bialosky and great-grandmother to Kristin, Evan
and Jaren Hori, Peyton, Shannon and Avery Lee, and Jadon and Grace
Becker. She resided at the South Bay Keiro Nursing Home in Gardena
for the past four years. A private family service will be held to
celebrate her life.
