Funeral service for Masao Teraoka was held on February 1, 2011 at Koyasan Buddhist Temple. Husband to the late Reiko Teraoka; he is survived by his children Sharon, Robin and Brian. He was a graduate of Venice High School, class of 1939. He was manager of the baseball team, member of the C basketball team and the editor of the Oarsman high school newspaper. After surviving pancreatic cancer for over 20 years, he succumbed to pneumonia at the age of 89.
