Memorial service for the late Takahide “Tak” Nishi, 79-year-old, El Centro, Calif.-born resident of Monterey Park who passed away peacefully on April 9 at Garfield Medical Center, will be held on Friday, April 15, 1 p.m. at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th St., Gardena.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kisako Nishi; children, Glenn Hidetomi (Yumi), Vincent Akitsugu (Paula) and Edward Kiyofumi Nishi; grandchildren, Ryan, Evan and Jayden Nishi; siblings, Michiko Oku, Yuriko (Satoru) Takesaka, Toshiko Sakaguchi, Masamichi Nishi and Takafumi (Ayako) Nishi; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
