Ruth Yoshida, the daughter of Mase and Natsu Nakamine, was born July 23, 1925 in Inglewood, Calif., passed away peacefully on May 7, 2011 at home in Huntington Beach, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Yoshiro. Together they owned Yo’s Custom Rods. Ruth is survived by her 2 children, Sharon (Stanley) Uchizono, Martin (Patty) Yoshida; 4 grandchildren, Jaime (Ben) Hynes, Janelle (Sonnie) Bocala, Ryan Yoshida, Jeffrey Yoshida; 2 great grandchildren, Olivia Hynes, Brooklyn Bocala; brothers, Jack Nakamine, Tom Nakamine, Toe (Julia) Nakamine; sisters, Peggy Johnson, Mary (Ko) Yamaguchi and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation for Ruth will be Friday, May 20 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Green Hills Mortuary in Rancho Palos Verdes. The internment will be private.
