The kindest, loving and most gentle man, Hiromi Hino, 90, of Seal Beach, passed away on July 22, 2011. A resident of Gardena for 47 years, this Nisei is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Masako, and four children: Sandie Hino-De Leon (Ruben), Bonnie Hino, Tammie Hino-Quan (Dwayne), and Hiromi “Chip” Hino (Traci); grandchildren Eric Nakata (Liz), Robyn Tiomico (Ryan), Nicole and Marissa De Leon, Jordin and Justin Hino, Stephanie, Doug, Devin, and Drew Quan; great-grandchildren Eva Nakata and Tadashi Tiomico; sister Emiko Tsuji; sister-in-law Tomi Eno (Jim), and many nieces and nephews. His Buddhist name was presented to him on July 29 by Rev. Harada of the Orange County Buddhist Church. A private Celebration of Life was held on Aug. 9, 2011, at Faith United Methodist Church in Torrance, officiated by Rev. Kenneth Suhr.
