Funeral service for the late Mitsue Shimizu, 92-year-old, born and resident of Gardena, who passed away on Aug. 20, will be held on Friday, Aug. 26, 11 a.m. at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166th Street, Gardena.
She is survived by beloved husband, Masao Ben Shimizu; sons, Dr. Stanley (Irene), Cary (Linda), Gary (Linda), Dr. Kelvin (Arlene) Shimizu; grandchildren, Natalie, Alex, Scott, Darrin, Garrett, Kaitlin, Nicole, Jocelyn Shimizu, and Jennifer (Ryan) Kucera of Texas; great-grandchild, Kai’ Noah Kazuhiko Powell; brother, Yoshiteru Kikawa; brother-in-laws, Asayuki (Hiroko) Shimizu, Sakami (Alyce) Shimizu; sister-in-laws, Yuriko Sahara of Hawaii and Mitsuko Kikawa; also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives here and Hawaii.
