Memorial service for the late Mr. Russ Show Yamada, a Long Beach, Calif.-born, Yonsei resident of Torrance, who passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 3, 2011 while surfing at San Onofre State Beach, will be held on Friday, Sept. 16, 10 a.m. at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 W. 158th St., Gardena, CA 90247, officiated by Pastor Stephen Langley. Russ was predeceased by his father Manzo Yamada. Beloved son of Jean (Masayuki) Butsumyo; brother, Scott (Dena) Yamada. Also survived by many other relatives.
