Ayako Kamoto, 87, 7/8/1924-10/25/2011, Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend has left us with wonderful memories of home cooked meals, holidays together, kindness and love. She was a great cook and baker and made everyone feel like family. She is survived by her children, Eileen Santos (Dio), David Kamoto, Kenny Kamoto (Gina), and Lynn Kamoto (Marcie); grandchildren Kimberly Esqueda (John), Anthony Santos (Kristin), Kristin, Leslie, and Jared Kamoto, Kenneth and Sydney Rodriguez-Clisham; brothers Yuji, Saburo Okumura (Cookie), and sisters Fusako Nakayu (Kiyo), Tetsuko Aramaki; sister-in-laws Ritsue Fukumoto, Mary Okumura, Connie Okumura, Rae Okumura, Joanne Okumura and Shigeko Fukushima, brother-in-law Taira Fukushima along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Kazuo and eldest son James, brothers Ichiro, Hachiro, and Denny Okumura, sister Nobuko Fukushima; brother-in-law Jack Aramaki and sister-in-law Kiyo Okumura. Service will be held Thursday, November 3, 11 a.m. at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Hillside Chapel (Gate 17), 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, CA.
