Yoshio Takagaki, 94-year-old Utah-born resident of Los Angeles, passed away on Nov. 14, 2011. Yo was co-owner and developer of Crenshaw Square and founder of the Nikkei Foundation of America. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, Nov. 25, 11 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 S. Central Ave., Los Angeles.
Yo is survived by his son, Richard Yoshio Takagaki; daughters, Judi Takagaki and Cathy (Gary) Yee of New York; grandchildren, Remy Sliskovich, Marc Aaron and Sarah Takagaki, and Kyle Yee.
