EL CERRITO — A fun crab-filled feast to support J-Sei services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the El Cerrito Community Center.

On the menu are fresh-caught Dungeness crab, J-Sei’s popular garlic noodles, Asian salad and desserts.  The program will include taiko drummers, recognition of local community leaders Frank and Amy Eto and Ruby Okazaki, and a drawing for numerous prizes, including a $500 cash grand prize.

Adult dinner tickets are $40 in advance with limited dinner tickets at the door available for $45. Children 12 and under can dine for $15. There will be a take-out option again this year, offered from 4 to 6 p.m.

Drawing tickets are $2 each or $10 for six.

The event is made possible by the generous support of Home Instead Senior Care and Vital Link.

J-Sei provides assistance for older adults and their families in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.  It operates a senior center, a lunch program, home-delivered nutrition, case management services, transportation, a friendly visitor/friendly caller program, a Saturday Morning Series (educational presentations), affordable housing and J-Sei Home, a residential care home for the elderly.

The overall goal of J-Sei is to provide cultural programs and vital services that help older adults remain in their homes. All crab feed proceeds will help pay for life-enhancing services.

Contact J-Sei at (510) 848-3560 to purchase tickets or visit www.j-sei.org for more information, directions and tickets.
