Funeral service for Isamu Sam Sakahara, 97-year-old, Covina-born, resident of Altadena who passed away on Jan. 20, 2012 at his residence, will be held on Monday, Jan. 30 from 11 a.m. at Pasadena Buddhist Temple, 1993 Glen Ave., Pasadena.
He is survived by his wife, Yaeko May Sakahara; daughter, Michiko C. (Ronald M.) Oba; son, Arthur H. (Cheryl H.) Sakahara; grandchildren, Curtis Sakahara and Staci (Sid) Murai; brothers, Hideo, Shizuto (Nobue) and Mitsuo (Etsuko) Sakahara of Japan; sisters, Masako Morimoto, Misue Ueda of Japan; many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
