Mitsuru “Mits” Amano

Mitsuru “Mits” Amano, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Jan. 5 at the age of 89 in San Diego.
He was predeceased by son Danny and daughter Nancy (survived by husband Tony). He is survived by his wife, Nobuko; daughters, Susan (Roger) Mouri, Jenny (Daryl) Masuyama, and Traci (Travis) Mitchell; sons, Chuck (Terri), Mike (Laurie); 16 grandchildren; 1 great- granddaughter. Also survived by sisters in-law, Takeko Amano, Teruko (Sam) Nakamura, Yetsuko (Thomas) Fujiwara, Toyoko (Tom) Vassil, Yaeko King; brothers in-law, Tats Asamen, Joe Tokeshi; and many nephews, nieces and other relatives.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, at the San Diego Buddhist Temple.
