Shizue Yanagioka Jinbo, born on May 15, 1922 in Covina , Calif., passed away on Jan. 7, 2012 in Fountain Valley.
Graveside services will be at Oakdale Memorial Park , 1401 S. Grand Ave., Glendora , CA 91740 , on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012 at 11 a.m.
Having no children of their own, they were generous with their love, guidance and caring for all their nieces and nephews and she was Auntie Shiz to all of us. She will be missed by her family as well as all those who came in contact with her and her radiant smile.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Masaru J. Jinbo; her sister and best friend, Kikue Yanagioka Kanbara; and her adoring brother, Sadao Yanagioka.
Shizue Jinbo is survived by brothers-in-law, Toshiro Henry Kanbara and Fred Kitada; along with nieces and nephews: Sharon Kanbara (George) Apker and children, Lisa and Kenneth Grigg, plus grandchildren: Janice Yanagioka (Scott) Lietzke;
Brian (Annie) Kanbara and sons, Robert and Keith;
James (Rosie) Jimbo, and her children, Christy and RJ
Thomas (Yuki) Jimbo and children, McAllister and Nolan;
Joan Kitada (Johnny) Martinez and sons, Brion and Russell;
David (Jocelyn) Kitada and daughters, Heather and Laurel.
