SAN JOSE — A free screening of “Valor with Honor,” a documentary by Burt Takeuchi, will be held on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. at Japanese American Museum of San Jose, 535 N. 5th St. (near Jackson) in San Jose Japantown.

The independent feature film consists of interviews with Nisei who served with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, some of whom have since passed away. Through these oral histories, these heroic veterans take the viewer through the 1944 Italian Campaign, the rescue of the Lost Battalion, the breaking of the Italian Gothic Line, and the liberation of Holocaust victims in Dachau, Germany in 1945.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmaker. DVDs will be sold and autographed.
