SAN JOSE — San Jose Buddhist Church, Noriko Takeda-Rovner, Kree-Ayt (create) and the Japantown Business Association will hold the first Zumba Party for Japan on Saturday, March 17, from 7 to 9 p.m. at San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin, 640 N. 5th St. in San Jose Japantown. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Nathan Blake, master class teacher at Zumba conventions, and local Zumba and VivAsia instructors will lead an exciting evening of dance fitness in support of ongoing relief and recovery efforts from last year’s Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
Blake is an extremely popular Zumba instructor, having held classes and master classes all over the U.S. and abroad. The owner of Blake Fitness out of Queens, New York, his choreography can be viewed on his YouTube Channel, “Blake TV.”
The event is open to all ages and fitness levels. Participants will enjoy learning the hottest Zumba and VivAsia movements. Net proceeds of the event will go directly to ongoing Japan relief efforts.
