Funeral service for Ted Kajiya, 82-year-old Pueblo, Colo.-born Nisei and veteran of the Korean Conflict who passed away on April 11 at USC Medical Center, will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 7 p.m. at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple, 505 E. 3rd St., L.A., under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.
He is survived by his wife, Vernae; daughter Allison (Nathan) Haramoto and daughter Jennifer (Craig) Uyeda of Sunnyvale; grandchildren, Noah, Evan, Dylan, Reese and Jason; brother, Frank (Alice) Kajiya; sisters, Hisa (Joe) Hamada of Ohio, Alice Chapman, Amy Tsurumoto of Sebastopol and Rose Kitagawa of Sunnyvale; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
