CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) announces an evening with dancer, choreographer, producer, television host, “Dancing with the Stars” judge and new CAPE board member Carrie Ann Inaba, sponsored by Verizon.
It will take place Thursday, June 7, from 6 to 9:15 p.m. at the Japanese American National Museum, 369 E. First St. in Litle Tokyo.
As one of the most admired artists who happens to be of Asian American/Pacific Islander descent, Inaba will be sharing her path to success from the Fly Girls on “In Living Color” in the early 1990s to her tour with Madonna to her present role as a prime-time television star.
The interview will be guided by CAPE founder and co-chairperson Wenda Fong (vice president, alternative entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company), who is currently the Fox executive in charge of prime-time shows “The X Factor,” “American Idol,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” and “So You Think You Can Dance.”
Inaba has been nominated for this year’s Teen Choice Awards under the Choice TV Female Personality category.
This intimate event will sell out quickly, so reserve your seat now. Tickets are complimentary for CAPE members and $20 for non-members. For reservations, go to http://capeusa.org.
