The arraignment of Tatsuhiko Sakamoto, who is charged with gross vehicular manslaughter in the death of 21-year-old Connor Penhall, has been postponed from April 26 to May 30 in Pomona, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

The victim was working for a Caltrans subcontractor on the San Bernardino Freeway in Baldwin Park on the night of April 4 when he was struck by Sakamoto’s Toyota Rv4, which plowed through traffic cones.
Sakamoto, 37, of Arcadia, is also accused of felony DUI and driving without a license. He made bail and has checked himself into a live-in residential treatment center, according to DA spokesperson Sandi Gibbons.
